C.AARME - C.AARME
CD review by Vinnie Baggadonuts

I thought Sweden was neutral. Isn’t that their claim to fame? Because this is the exact opposite of neutral. This is a stance, kids. And that stance is fucking aggressive.

C.AARME are the fastest, most violent musical car chase I’ve heard in a while. It’s not that pussified trend-punk, or the fashioncentric garage rock eating up the airwaves. This is some intense, manic, brutal punk. Comparisons? Nope. Bands like Black Flag and Bad Brains were tossed in the press release, and seem about right in spirit, but musically, this is a monster unto itself.

Their professed desire to "play fast and hard without deeper analysis" has been fulfilled. This self-titled debut album (Epitaph/Burning Heart Records) is 15-rounds of goddamn loud-as-fuck grenades. It’s all worth a listen, if you’re into fast, loud, and louder-- especially the catchy, pulsating "Visions"; the frantic "Aimless"; and my hands-down favorite, "I Am A Princess".
