VARIOUS ARTISTS - PUNK-O-RAMA VOL. 9
CD review by Sal Swayzo

Epitaph's Punk-O-Rama Vol. 9 is chock-full of great stuff from all three of their labels: Epitaph, Hellcat, and Burning Heart Records. You get tracks from classic punks, like the new Bad Religion tune "Social Suicide" and Rancid's "Tropical London". There's some hip-hop to stir things up by Atmosphere and Eyedea & Abilities. Then there's your basic pop-punkers, like Hot Water Music and Pennywise. And then you get the ultra-industrial Error with "Burn In Hell". Lots of good stuff you'll probably never hear on Top 40 radio.

My personal favorites on this album are "Miss Take" by the Horrorpops-- which is what No Doubt should be-- and The Dropkick Murphys' multi-lead vocal "The Dirty Glass". But it's not over! You also get a DVD packed with videos. It's like MTV without the crap! I especially enjoyed the Horrorpops video for "Miss Take".

You'd be a fool not to grab this. It's the best way possible to sample some great music and videos for dirt cheap. Just remember: Punk-O-Rama Vol. 9.
